One of the most powerful things I’ve always noticed about visiting for a sound session was the palpable and very strong shift I feel as soon as I get close to the driveway and as I’m walking toward the cabins. I don’t understand it fully, but my intuition is that it’s at least in some way because of the honor, respect and care that Karen and Ed return to the land they live on. It feels like what a loving relationship feels like. The healing process seems to begin there, and even before settling into a sound session with Karen, I’ve felt able to release extra heaviness in the footsteps to the door. Karen is one of the most truly welcoming people I’ve met in my life and in her sound circles, parts of me that I myself have a hard time welcoming feel safe and deeply held in the space. Through the whole beautiful and intuitive session I can feel those repressed parts coming up to be felt and acknowledged. Giving a voice to them afterward in the nurturing community setting is encouraged. That is a profound and indescribable gift. I’m deeply grateful for Life Elemental’s continued offerings and for Karen’s beautiful and sacred sound medicine.

The Hilltop Cabin provides a unique and sacred opportunity to detach from the chaos of normal societal life and spend time to get to know yourself more deeply. The stars and fireflies were so magical after an evening sound session, and sweat. It felt like I was in another world of pure awareness and connectedness to a greater life force energy.
This continues to be one of the best experiences I have gifted myself to help awaken from some deep beliefs and patterns that no longer serve me or the greater good.

I have had the precious opportunity to experience several Sound Sessions facilitated by Ed. The entire process was held in a respectful and sacred way. Each time I was able to access wisdom from a deeper place and truly considered them to be transformational.
Since then, I have coordinated six small retreats that included a Sound Session with Ed. None of these people had experienced a sound session before. All of them were deeply moved, gained clarity and were very grateful. There was a high level of skillful means that created a safe and trusting space. Each of us had the opportunity to talk with Ed prior to the session about our intention for the ceremony. He has an amazing ability to serve as a wise guide in this process by listening, asking questions and accessing spirit. Upon arriving, we were in awe of all the careful and individualized preparation for the session including the selection of stones and other natural materials as well as where we were positioned in the circle. He facilitated a very skillful introduction that helped to foster a healing experience and ease uncertainty. The variety of instruments and chanting is undescribable and powerful.
No session is alike; he is guided by spirit for what is being called for the highest benefit of the group and he brings that forward. He then offers a very beautiful time to share, synthesize and then close in gratitude. There is never any pressure to share. For those that do share, he offers additional insights and encouragement (i.e “good work!”) The delicious and cold tea served afterwards, the magical and energetic space and beautiful grounds all contributed to an incredible shared human experience.
The session itself was unlike any other sound session I have experienced.
